Time has a way of moving faster than we expect. It seems like only yesterday we opened our doors, yet this year we are celebrating a full decade of operations! Reaching ten years is no small achievement in today’s economic climate. It indicates that we have done something right, and more importantly, that we have fostered lasting relationships.
For us at Safeguard, this anniversary represents stability. We have grown, faced challenges, and celebrated victories. As we approach this significant date, we want to take the time to recognise the people who made it possible.
Business is often seen as numbers on a spreadsheet, but for us, it has always been about people and community. To celebrate this, we are organising a family day/shooting event for partners who have supported us, including clients, prospective clients, suppliers and their families. It offers an opportunity to put down phones, step away from emails, and interact in a different setting. There is value in connecting face-to-face (and enjoying a bit of friendly competition) rather than just meeting in a corporate setting.
Internally, we remain focused on competence. We have appointed in-house qualified instructors to provide regular training. It’s important to clarify that this is not a public training centre; rather, it is a strictly internal initiative. By keeping this function in-house, we ensure our teams meet the high standards we set for ourselves.
Looking outward, our eyes are fixed on the next horizon. While our roots remain firmly planted here in South Africa, we recognise potential beyond our borders. The idea of expanding our experience into new territories further afield in Africa is a challenge we are ready to embrace.
From refining our skills and exploring new territories to honouring our partners and their families, we approach 2026 knowing that our ten-year legacy is built entirely on the strength of the people standing beside us.
